Step 7: Add Links and Text for the Tier

In the URL / Link section, use the Browse or link input area to add any relevant URL (for example, a page explaining VIP benefits).

After adding the link, you can also add supporting text that will appear with the link in the checkout extension.

You can repeat this process to create multiple options (e.g., multiple tiers or configurations) by using the Add button. For example, you might configure three options for different tiers.

Step 8: Configure Messaging for Customers Without VIP Tiers

Under Customers without VIP tiers, configure the message that will be shown to customers who do not belong to any VIP tier. Add a title and any explanatory text you want displayed in the checkout extension.

Enable the toggle for this section so that customers without a tier see the configured message.

Step 9: Save the Configuration and Go to the Store

After configuring both Customers with VIP tiers and Customers without VIP tiers, click Save to apply your changes. Then navigate back to the Store section in Shopify to test the configuration.

Step 10: Add a Product and Proceed to Checkout

In your Shopify store, add a product to the cart—for example, add Blue Snowboard.

Before testing the checkout extension, ensure the store is logged in with a valid customer account that has an assigned VIP tier in 99minds.

Step 11: Verify VIP Tier Display in Checkout

Log in as a customer who already has a VIP tier (e.g., John). Proceed to checkout and confirm that the checkout extension displays the correct tier information, such as “Welcome to the Silver Tier,” corresponding to the configured tier (e.g., Plush Admirer 2 in 99minds).

You should see that the title and description configured earlier appear correctly in the checkout.

Step 12: Confirm the Customer’s VIP Tier in 99minds

If you want to double-check the customer’s tier, go back to the 99minds dashboard and search for the customer (e.g., John) by name.

Verify that the customer’s current tier (for example, Plush Admirer 2) matches what is shown in the checkout extension.

This confirms that the VIP Tier settings for the Shopify Checkout Extension are configured and working as expected.
