Step 1: Access the Widget Settings
Log in to your 99minds account and ensure you are on the main dashboard.
Locate the Widget option in the dashboard menu and click it.
Step 2: Open Shopify Checkout Extension Settings
In the widget area, find the Shopify Checkout Extension Settings section.
Click the Customize button to open the configuration panel.
Step 3: Configure General Settings for Guest and Logged-In Customers
The General section controls visibility and content for guest users and logged-in users who are not yet enrolled in the loyalty program.
In the General tab, locate the Guest Customer options.
Enable Guest Customer Visibility if you want checkout content to be shown to guest users.
Enter a Title for guest users (e.g., “Join Our Loyalty Program”).
Enter a Description that explains the benefits to guest users.
Configure settings for Logged-in but not enrolled in the loyalty program:
Enable Visibility so logged-in, non-enrolled users see the loyalty prompt.
Set a Title (e.g., “Join Our Loyalty Program”).
Add a Loyalty opt-in description describing the loyalty program.
Set the Button label (e.g., “Join Now”).
Provide a Logo URL if you want a logo displayed in the checkout extension.
These General settings will be reflected on the Shopify store checkout page. For a logged-in user, you will see a section such as “Join our loyalty program today” on the checkout page when these options are enabled.
Step 4: Configure Rewards Section Visibility and Content
Go to the Rewards section within the Shopify Checkout Extension settings.
Ensure Visibility is enabled so the rewards panel appears on the Shopify checkout for eligible users.
Configure the Rewards section content:
Set a Title for the rewards section (e.g., “Your Rewards”).
Add a Description explaining what rewards are available.
Configure Button labels (e.g., for applying rewards).
Adjust Applied button labels to indicate when a reward has been used.
Review and edit the Activities table (if available) to match your display requirements for rewards.
These settings control how available rewards appear in the checkout section for the customer.
Step 5: Enable and Configure Coupons and Gift Cards
In the Rewards configuration, specify which reward types to show at checkout:
Configure Coupons titles and how they are presented.
Enable Gift Cards if you want them visible to the customer.
To restrict gift card usage, enable Restrict the gift card on subtotal.
Enable Mask the gift card code to hide part of the code, so only the last four digits (or as configured) are visible.
Enable Hide the rewards section if no rewards available so the panel is not shown when the customer has no rewards.
After making these selections, enable the desired options and click Save.
Step 6: Verify the Settings on the Shopify Checkout Page
Open your Shopify store checkout for a test customer and navigate to the checkout page.
Refresh the page after saving your settings in 99minds.
Confirm that:
The loyalty prompt (e.g., “Join our loyalty program today”) appears correctly for logged-in, non-enrolled users.
The Rewards section displays available coupons and gift cards.
Gift cards are shown in masked form, according to your masking configuration.
Rewards are hidden when no rewards are available.
Ensure that both the General and Rewards configurations are working as expected in the Shopify Checkout Extension.
