How to Enroll Customers into a Loyalty Program on Shopify POS

This guide explains how store associates can quickly enroll customers into a 99minds-powered loyalty program directly from the Shopify POS app.

Step 1: Open Shopify POS

Launch the Shopify POS app and ensure you are logged in.

Step 2: Add or Select a Customer

1. Tap "Add Customer" on the POS home screen.

2. Search using phone number, email, or name.

3. If customer does not exist, tap "Add New Customer" and enter their details.

Step 3: Access Loyalty Program Actions

After selecting a customer, open the 99minds Loyalty widget in the customer panel.

You will see current loyalty status, point balance, and enrollment options.

Step 4: Enroll the Customer

- If not enrolled, tap "Enroll Customer".

- 99minds syncs and activates the customer's loyalty profile.

- A confirmation message will appear: "Customer enrolled successfully".

Step 5: Verify Enrollment

Once enrolled, the customer profile will show:

- Membership Status: Active

- Points: 0 (for new customers)

- Loyalty ID (if enabled)

Optional: Issue a Welcome Reward

If enabled in your loyalty settings:

1. Tap "Issue Reward".

2. Select the welcome reward.

3. Confirm and apply to the customer's account.

Customer Experience After Enrollment

Enrolled customers will:

- Earn points on qualified purchases

- Receive rewards automatically

- Get email/SMS notifications (if enabled)

- View loyalty account on your storefront (if enabled)
