Step 1: Access the Referral Section
Ensure you are logged in to 99minds and are on the dashboard screen.
Open the left-side menu and select the Referral section.
Click on Configure to open the referral configuration page.
Step 2: Configure General Referral Settings
On the configuration page, review and set the General Settings, including:
Referral Code Length
Referral Code Prefix
Character Set
After updating these fields as required, click Save to store the general referral settings.
Step 3: Set Up Fraud Settings
Navigate to the Fraud Settings section.
Choose the appropriate fraud prevention options according to your business requirements.
When you have selected the desired options, click Save to apply the fraud settings.
Step 4: Configure Friend Reward Settings
Go to the Friend Reward Settings section.
Here, select the Coupon Rule that will be applied to the referred friend.
Choose the coupon rule you have already created for friend rewards.
After selecting the coupon rule, click Save to confirm the friend reward configuration.
Step 5: Configure Advocate Reward Settings
To configure rewards for the referring customer (advocate), go to the Advocate Reward Settings section.
Click Get Started to begin setting up the advocate reward.
Create a workflow that defines what happens when a referral is successful (for example, issuing a coupon or reward to the advocate).
Once configured, close the workflow setup window.
Step 6: Review the Coupon Rules Used for Referral
Open the Coupon Rules section to review the rules you have created for the referral program.
Locate the coupon rule created specifically for referrals.
You should see a rule such as Referral coupon for friend or a similar referral-specific rule type.
This same coupon rule appears in the Friend Reward Settings dropdown.
Confirm that this coupon rule is correctly configured and visible as the selected coupon rule for friend rewards.
Step 7: Final Confirmation
Verify that:
General referral settings are saved.
Fraud settings are configured and saved.
Friend reward settings use the correct referral coupon rule.
Advocate reward workflow is created for successful referrals.
Once everything is confirmed, your referral configuration in 99minds is complete.
