This document provides detailed instructions on how to issue gift cards to customers using the 99 Minds platform. The process involves creating a campaign and then issuing the gift cards through customer details or CSV upload. Follow the steps below to successfully create and distribute gift cards.
Step 1
Welcome! In this video, you will learn how to issue gift cards to customers using the 99 Minds platform. Let’s get started.
Step 2
First, create a campaign for the gift cards. Navigate to the Gift Card section in the side menu. In the dropdown, select Campaign and then click on Add Campaign to start a new one.
Step 3
On the new campaign setup screen, begin by entering a campaign name.
Step 4
Enter a descriptive campaign name, such as “Christmas Promo” or “In-Store Wallet”. Then, select your preferred currency from the available list.
Step 5
Decide on the delivery mode: digital or physical, depending on how the customer will receive it. Then, choose the campaign type.
Step 6
Select a campaign type, either promotional or in-store. Next, choose the character set for the gift card code: letters, numbers, or a mix of both. Define the card number length, such as 16 digits.
Step 7
If desired, set a card prefix for the code, like “Sale” or “Welcome”. Review the advanced options provided for additional customization.
Step 8
Consider adding a separator to include a dash after every few characters in the gift card code. If you want the card to have a fixed value upon generation, enable the pre-loaded card option.
Step 9
Activate the PIN required option to generate a PIN needed for redemption. Consider if activation should be required before use.
Step 10
Opt for a one-time use card for promotions, which voids the remaining balance once used, or choose a reloadable card for ongoing use by customers.
Step 11
If a barcode is necessary, enable the barcode required option. Then, specify the value range for the gift cards, such as $20 to $250.
Step 12
Set the expiration period, choosing from options like 30 days, 90 days, or a custom period. If applicable, link a client product ID. Once complete, click submit.
Step 13
With your campaign ready, proceed to issue the gift cards. Go back to the Gift Card section and select Issue Gift Cards from the dropdown.
Step 14
On the Bulk Issue Gift Card screen, choose between issuing by customer details or CSV upload. In this example, we’ll use customer details.
Step 15
Select the method for issuing: customer email, phone, or customer ID. For this demonstration, we’ll use the customer’s email. Enter the email address in the provided field.
Step 16
If issuing in bulk, you can add multiple email addresses. Afterward, select the appropriate campaign to proceed.
