This article will list the different terminal operations that are possible from the 99minds Web POS screen. Staff can perform the following operations easily. Each operation is explained in detail below.

Redeem Gift Card
When customers want to redeem their gift card value for a purchase, the shop staff can select the Redeem Gift Card option from the Web POS. To redeem the amount, select the store from the drop down and enter the gift card number. Click Check Balance. You will be able to view the gift card details with the balance information, last transaction on the gift card, and gift card expiry date (if applicable). To redeem the amount from the gift card, enter the amount to be deducted along with the order id and order notes. Click Submit. Ensure to activate the gift card (if activation is required) before redeeming the amount from the card. The redemption criteria and amount that can be redeemed for any purchase are specified in the gift card terms and conditions.
Redeem Gift Card - Web POS Sell Gift Card
The sell gift card section allows customers to buy gift card directly from the store POS or send gift cards as gift to friends/relatives. Upon request, the shop staff can generate a gift card sale from the sell gift card section. The Web POS gives flexibility to sell both Digital or Physical gift cards depending on the customer preference. Shop staff can initiate a sale for both physical and digital cards from the Web POS.
How to Sell a Digital Gift Card from 99minds Web POS?
To sell a digital gift card, select the store from the drop down and the card type as DIGITAL. Enter the currency of the gift card to be issued to the customer, customer name and email address. The gift card details will be shared over this email id.
To send the gift card as a gift to a friend/relative, enter the same details as above. Additionally, select the Send as Gift checkbox. Enter the recipient name and recipient email address. 99minds allows users to send gift cards to friends/relatives on a special occasion (for e.g., at 1200AM on their birthday). Select the checkbox to choose the date and time to deliver the gift card to the recipient. Click Submit to sell the digital gift card to the customer/send as a gift.
Sell Digital Gift Card - Web POS How to Sell a Physical Gift Card from 99minds Web POS?
To sell a physical gift card, select the store from the drop down and the card type as PHYSICAL. Enter the gift card number in the text box provided. Click Check Balance to view the physical gift card value. To perform the sale, enter the customer name and email address. The gift card details will be shared over this email id. Click Submit to sell the physical gift card to the customer.
Before initiating a physical gift card sale, make sure to create the gift card under the Gift Cards section.
The reload gift card section allows the shop staff to add money to the gift card. Upon request, the shop staff can reload a gift card by selecting the store from the drop down and entering the gift card number in the text box provided. Click Check Balance. You will be able to view the gift card details with the balance information, last transaction on the gift card, and gift card expiry date (if applicable). To reload the amount into the gift card, enter the amount to be reloaded along with the order notes. Click Submit.
The reloadable amount should not exceed the range defined as part of the gift card campaign. Also, ensure whether the gift card allows money to be reloaded or not (under the Campaign Settings).
Reload Gift Card - Web POS Refund Gift Card
The refund gift card section allows the shop staff to refund the customer's gift card based on the request at the shop counter. The refund criteria is specified in the gift card terms and conditions. Upon request, the shop staff can refund a gift card by selecting the store from the drop down and entering the gift card number in the text box provided. Click Check Balance. You will be able to view the gift card details with the balance information, last transaction on the gift card, and gift card expiry date (if applicable). To refund the amount into the gift card, enter the amount to be refunded along with the order notes. Click Submit.
Refund Gift Card - Web POS Activate Gift Card
Gift cards with the "Requires Activation" status set as active when creating the Gift Card Campaign can be activated directly from the Web POS system by the shop staff. To activate the gift card, shop staff can select the store from the drop down and enter the gift card number in the text box provided. Click Check Balance. You will be able to view the gift card details with the balance information, last transaction on the gift card, and gift card expiry date (if applicable). To activate the gift card, enter the order note and click Submit. The gift card will be activated successfully.
Activate Gift Card - Web POS Deactivate Gift Card
Shop staff can deactivate an already activated gift card from the Deactivate Gift card section. Upon request, shop staff can select the store from the drop down and enter the gift card number in the text box provided. Click Check Balance. You will be able to view the gift card details with the balance information, last transaction on the gift card, and gift card expiry date (if applicable). To deactivate the gift card, enter the order note and click Submit. The gift card will be deactivated successfully.
Deactivate Gift Card - Web POS Block Gift Card
A gift card can be blocked for various reasons (unusual transactions so on). Upon request, the shop staff can manually block the gift card and not allow the user to use the gift card in future. To block the card details, select the store from the drop down and enter the gift card number in the text box provided. Click Check Balance. You will be able to view the gift card details. To block the gift card, enter the order note and click Submit. The gift card will be blocked successfully.
Block Gift Card - Web POS Void Gift Card
A gift card can be void of the amount for various reasons (after expiry, and so on). Upon request, the shop staff can manually void the gift card and not allow the user to use the gift card in future. The amount in the card will be reset to zero. To void the card details, select the store from the drop down and enter the gift card number in the text box provided. Click Check Balance. You will be able to view the gift card details. To void the gift card, enter the order note and click Submit. The gift card will be void successfully.
A gift card that has already been blocked cannot be void by the shop staff.
Void Gift Card - Web POS Extend Gift Card Expiry
When the expiry date has been set for the gift card and in order to extend the expiry date (for instance, for a customer in a higher VIP tier), store staff can extend the expiry of the gift card. To extend the card expiry details, select the store from the drop down and enter the gift card number in the text box provided. Click Check Balance. You will be able to view the gift card details. To extend the gift card expiry date, select the expiry date from the calendar, enter the order notes and click Submit. The gift card expiry date will be set to the new date successfully.
