Loyalty programs offer huge benefits for customers. It is most commonly used as a way to thank customers for their continued support to the business. Loyalty points help to motivate customer behaviour during their business journey. It is also a way for businesses to retain existing customers, increase the customer lifetime value and push them spend more.
Loyalty points do not have a 1:1 ratio. Instead, they can be defined based on specific user activity. For example, creating an account (100 points), order placement (1 point for every $ spent), share on social media (100 points) and so on. Customers can redeem these accumulated points either for a percentage discount, dollar discount, free shipping or a free product. Loyalty cards are automatically created for customers without a card / new customers.
