Gift Card Promotions

There may be occasions when customers want to create special promotions/offers/discounts on gift cards during special events such as Christmas, Black Friday, etc. To create a promotion, navigate to Gift Cards > Promotions section. There are two options - Create Discounts and Create Promotion Codes.

Create Promotion Discounts

Customers can create gift card promotions that will allow them to offer discounts on selling gift cards. Promotions are automatically applied on widget and WebPOS.

Create Promotion Codes

Promotion codes allows customers to offer discounts codes that can be used on selling gift cards. Promotion codes need to be manually applied on widget and WebPOS.

1. Navigate to Gift Cards > Promotions. Select Codes and click Create Promo Code.
   
2. In the New Promotion Code screen, enter the following details -
   
1. Card Type - Select the type of card (Digital/Physical/Both)
   
2. Currency - Select the default currency from the drop down
   
3. Promotion Code - Enter the promotion code
   
4. Discount Value - Enter the discount value. You can either set the discount in % or as fixed $. If you select the % option, you must additionally enter the maximum discount in $ in the next step. If you select the $ option, you need not enter the maximum discount value.
   
5. Minimum Gift Card Value - Enter the minimum gift card value
   
6. Max Usage - Enter the number of times the promotion code can be used during the validity period
   
7. Max usage per Customer - Enter the number of times a single customer can use the promo code during the validity period
   
8. Minimum Quantity - Enter the minimum quantity
9. Valid From & Valid Till - Select the validity period for the promotion code
   
10. Status - Toggle the button to make promo code active or inactive
    
3. Click Create to create the promotion code
   

Managing Existing Promotion Codes Details

Customers can manage the promotion codes details that are created within the system. To manage the promotion codes details, navigate to the Gift Cards > Promotions section and select Codes. Click the promo code that you want to modify. In the promotion code details screen, click Update to make the changes to the promotion details. Click Update to save the updated promotion code details.

Customers can also Disable / Enable the promotion code for operational reasons. The screen will also display the basic information of the promotion such as promotion status, discount type, gift card type, Start and End date, recent transactions.
