99minds & Retail Pro 9 Integration - Sell and Redeem Gift Cards
This article will explain how Retail Pro 9 users can sell and redeem 99minds gift cards on the Retail Pro 9 platform.
Prerequisites
Before continuing to read this article, make sure you have completed the below steps -
- Generated Retail Pro Specific Configuration and Credentials within 99minds
- Configured 99minds within Retail Pro 9
Redeeming a 99minds Gift Card within Retail Pro 9
- Once the sale is created and tendered, select Gift Card from the left menu. You will see the 99minds Gift Card Platform pop-up with options to redeem a gift card or purchase/add a new gift card.
Gift Card - Retail Pro 9
- To redeem a gift card, enter the gift card number in the space provided. Refer the Gift Card section in the documentation to know more about gift cards in 99minds, how you can create a campaign, bulk gift cards and more.
Gift Card - Redeem Gift Card
- Click Check to check whether the gift card is valid or not. If the gift card is valid, you will see the Redeem Gift Card screen with the card details, balance amount in the gift card and the actual amount taken for the sale. Click OK to add the gift card details to the order.
Redeem Gift Card - Enter Value
- Once the gift card details are added to the order, the order can be completed. The amount will be deducted from the gift card.
Other Gift Card Options within Retail Pro 9
In addition to redeeming gift cards, there are other gift card options available within Retail Pro 9 -
- Purchase/Add Gift card - Customers can choose to purchase a new gift card from the store. Enter the gift card number in the space provided and click Check to confirm if the gift card is a valid one.
- Balance Inquiry - Check the balance available in the gift card before redemption
- Extend Expiry - If the gift card has an expiry and allows for extension of expiry date, the extend expiry option allows for the store to extend the gift card expiry date
- Activate/Deactivate - Allows for activating/deactivating a gift card from Retail Pro 9
