The Transactions section provides information about the transactions performed on gift cards that belong to all campaigns in the platform. Navigate to Gift Cards > Transactions section. The Transactions table lists the following information -
Gift card number
Transaction id
Transaction type
Transaction Source
Transaction Date
Transaction Amount
Client Transaction ID
Every operation that is performed on a gift card gets recorded in the server as a transaction. There are six types of gift card transactions -
Transaction | Transaction Details |
CREATION | When the gift card is generated |
ACTIVATION | When the gift card is activated |
REDEMPTION | When a gift card is redeemed by the user |
PURCHASED | When a new gift card is purchased by the user |
BLOCKED | When the gift card is blocked due to any reason |
VOID | When the gift card value is removed and made unusable |
EXTEND EXPIRY | When the expiry date is changed for the gift card |
RELOAD | When the gift card value is reloaded |
When you create the campaign with the "Activation Required" flag set (slider icon turned on), only the CREATION transaction will be created when the gift card is created. Once the gift card is manually activated, the ACTIVATION transaction will be created. If the campaign is created with the "Activation Required" flag turned off, then both CREATION and ACTIVATION transaction will be created.
Customers can also filter the records in the table by filtering on card id/campaign id/card number. To view the specific details of the transaction or the gift card, click on a transaction record from the All Transactions tab. You will see the gift card details and the recent list of transactions. This page is the same as what you see under the Giftcards section when you view a gift card.
